- Judicial Intern at the Los Angeles Superior Court
- I specifically sought this immersive internship under the Los Angeles Superior Court, to observe hearings and trials in both civil and criminal courts at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse and the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center (also known as the CJC) to understand how our legal system operates and the many complex challenges it might face. I have had numerous opportunities to interact with various kinds of attorneys, experts, and judges, and have also visited their chambers to have more meaningful discussions about their academic backgrounds, career and the ethics and challenging realities that come with their roles. This opportunity has made me understand and appreciate the role of the judiciary in ensuring the rule of law in our country and keeping our communities safe, and has further strengthened by interest and passion in pursuing law.

- Councilmember Liu
- This internship has exposed me to the nuances and challenges of policy making. As a policy intern for the City of Irvine under Councilmember Melinda Liu, I conduct research on various council agenda items to understand the implications of proposed city decisions, and the diverse perspectives of the residents of our city on these agenda items. For example, I recently researched and explored the transformation of a recreational golf course into new housing units and a controversial debate over the location of a new veteran cemetery. Through this internship, I have come to understand grass root challenges. This internship also opened new opportunities to volunteer at community events and collaborate with my other fellow interns to plan approved events on topics that we discovered are important and valuable to the community. This experience has deepened my understand of our local government, the importance and value of civic engagement as well as how policy decisions can impact residents’ lives.
- Councilmember Mike Carroll
- Under Councilmember Carroll at the City of Irvine, I assisted with community outreach by researching resources for Irvine residents as well as transcribing public comments from city council meetings in order to highlight non-agenda and agenda items which directly impacted our residents and worked to get resident feedback on each one of them. This feedback lies at the core of policy making. Volunteering at city events showed me how local leadership builds support and unity within our neighborhood. Overall, this internship taught me how effective governance must be responsive to the community it serves.
- Katha Pachisi
- I was the sole content writer intern for the promotion of this international business based in India. I worked hard to help the promoters authentically convey their values and purpose through the art of storytelling. Working remotely with an international company has sharpened my communication skills, adaptability, and my understanding of how powerful our words can be in shaping narratives, building brand identity and connection with its target audience.
- Research Intern, UCI Center for Ethics and Morality – Module 7: Ethics and Economics
- During this intensive internship, I will be studying and researching the intersection of ethics and economics.
- Shadowing an Appellate Attorney
- I currently shadow an attorney who works in indigent criminal appeals, editing case briefs and learning about issues such as domestic violence, drug abuse and addiction, and systemic inequality. This ongoing experience has opened my eyes to the devastating realities people can live in, and has shown me the critical role attorneys play in helping minority groups achieve justice. Watching this attorney work has further reinforced my desire to pursue law, because I strongly wish to give back to my community and ensure that all feel safe and protected by law.
- Work :-
- Westpark Marlins
- I coach young swimmers ages 5+, and lead daily practices in helping them prepare for weekly swim meets! Coaching summer league has taught me patience, given me instructional clarity on how to work better with children, and also how to motivate them to become better swimmers while still fostering a fun, team-oriented environment.
- CTI Aquatics
- I coach swimmers 5+ weekly of various skill levels and ages. I try to emphasize technique development as well as confidence in the water. This experience has taught me the importance of tailoring communication and building individual bonds to understand each swimmer to empower them to be good at what they are passionate about.
- Private swim coach
- I provide tailored in-the-water instruction to swimmers of various ages (both water-safe and not water-safe) and skill levels. I work towards building trust and a personal connection with each of my students, so I can help them develop their swimming abilities/technique and confidence in water.
- English/Math Tutor for a student with Down Syndrome
- I built a customized lesson plan to support my student’s progress in academic areas, especially her phonics, reading skills, basic math skills, and writing. This experience taught me the power of education and how it empowers us to make a genuine difference. I’m grateful to also have learned the importance of being empathetic and fine tune my communication by reading nonverbal cues. I learnt the value of staying consistent to reach a specific goal, and to celebrate the small wins along the way. It also made me appreciate the effort and the process towards a specific goal.
