Academics and Awards
- Magna Cum Laude from University High School
- This award is presented to students in excellent academic standing, maintaining a 4.0+ GPA. I have received this award all three years in high school. I am grateful to have been recognized for my hard work, and in striving to maintain my academic success, I have developed better study habits, time management skills, and communication habits with my peers, learning it is important to go beyond the normal, and seek help and utilize resources to their fullest capacity to support my learning.
- MUN Outstanding Delegate / Commendation Awards
- Model United Nations is a club I initially started doing just to try at the end of my sophomore year, meaning I was a late bloomer in comparison to the rest of the members of the club from my grade. However, throughout my time attending both novice and advanced level conferences, I received an award at almost every single one. As someone interested in current events/politics, and aspiring to become a lawyer in the future, these awards reinforced my love for this career path as well as motivated me to improve my public speaking skills, communication and delegation skills, as well as my research skills.
- AP Scholar Award / AP Scholar with Distinction Award
- The AP Scholar Award is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams and the AP Scholar with Distinction Award is given to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
- National Merit Commendation
- A National Merit Commendation Scholar Award is given to a student by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, typically for scoring in the top 3% of all PSAT-takers nationally.
- Piano: Certificate of Merit Pathway
- My journey in classical piano has taught me discipline, creativity, and confidence. Certified through the prestigious Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC), I’ve completed levels Prepatory-Advanced of training over the last 10 years that I have been playing this beautiful instrument!
- ALA California Girl’s State 1st Alternate Delegate
- Through my school, there was a 3-round selection process to select candidates for this prestigious program: a general form where a certain amount of candidates were selected, a second form that went to our local Auxiliary, and a final interview with top 4 candidates at the American Legion Post 291. Out of the final 4, I was selected as my school's 1st Alternate Delegate, giving me the opportunity to potentially be able to step in to represent my school and community in a mock government setting in Sacramento. The nomination encouraged my commitment to civic leadership and has inspired me to continue to strive to build inclusive and thoughtful policy perspectives, and remain an active member of my community.
